Johann Friedrich Krüger was born in Germany in 1846. He lived the life of a recluse in Wallasey Village. Kruger came from a wealthy family who were on the staff of the Emperor of Prussia. He was highly educated in the classics and music. When he died, the people of Wallasey Village clubbed together and paid for his burial and a fine funeral, so he wouldn't be buried in a pauper's grave.
